Build Day 4: Leaving the Botwood Fire Hall
The snow tried to get the better of us!
We started day four by dismantling the build into sections and lowering the walls. The question of the day was: what would we use to transport the build to the site? After a few phone calls by our firefighter friends, we had a lead on a trailer. The deputy mayor, Scott Sceviour, drove around to pick it up, but couldn’t find the trailer in the place where it was supposed to be. He was just about to leave when he noticed a small black handle sticking out of the snow. Turns out the trailer was entirely buried! So we rounded up as much help and as many shovels as possible and headed out to clear it off. It took two pickup trucks and help from neighbours returning home from work to finally get it cleared off and out of the snow. Then it was back to the fire hall to pick up the build!
